How do you feel about Christmas jumpers?
If they aren’t your cup of tea, read on.
Today I’m here to remind you that it’s totally possible to find gorgeous jumpers for the season without going down the novelty route. Jumpers that are tasteful and chic. And ones that are perfectly suitable for the festive season (and way beyond).
By the way, I do (kind of) enjoy seeing other people sporting their own festive sweaters. I just can’t quite bring myself to wear one.
Anyone else feel like a prize in a cheap cracker when they put one on?
Marks and Spencer’s toe-tapping Christmas jumper advert shows LOTS of great options. None of which are overly Christmassy. Each one would be perfect for Christmas Jumper Day (Friday 13th December), a Sunday roast in your local pub, Christmas Day itself, or indeed, any winter’s day when the temperature calls for it. If your Christmas jumper has seen better days, please choose carefully. Look for one that feels festive, chic and versatile. Then, you can join in the fun AND get lots of wear out of it and get that all important cost-per-wear down as low as possible. (And of COURSE, be kinder to the planet.)
Here are 5 lovely versatile jumpers to give you a snapshot of what’s available. If non of these tickle your fancy, have a browse in your favourite stores for something versatile that YOU love.
Remember, a jumper isn’t just for Christmas!
Whichever colour or style you go for this winter, please choose one you love and wear it to death.
Come January when the party season is over, a gorgeous knit might just keep a smile on your face.
Merry Christmas! Have a wonderful break, a Happy New Year and I look forward to bringing you more style inspiration in 2020.
This was my choice for a non Christmassy Christmas jumper. Merino and cashmere and now with 30% off what I paid. https://www.woolovers.com/womens/jumpers/womens-cashmere-merino-lurex-stripe-polo-jumper-14315
