A SUPER QUICK TIP!
Spring has finally arrived and before you get carried away with your spring outfits and excited purchasing, I recommend you take some time to reflect on how well your wardrobe has supported you over the past few months.
It’s a long time between seasons and by the time autumn rolls around again, your winter outfit hits and misses will be long forgotten.
Take some time now, before we are in full spring mode, to think about how easy (or difficult) it was for you to get dressed each day and for any special occasions/events.
If you go into next autumn armed with this information, you’ll find it super helpful and could save you repeat buying, wasting money and can give you a head start on searching for those pieces you recognise you need to add in early on.
It doesn’t matter where you record this information – as long as you can remember where to find it in six months’ time! I use the notes app on my phone and then it’s always with me.
List out:
- What have you loved wearing this winter?
- Do you have enough of these types of things for next winter?
- Does any of it need updating or replacing?
- Was there anything you wish you owned to complete an outfit?
- A particular type of footwear?
- A certain coloured scarf?
- A style of jeans?
- An accessory?
- More options for every day?
- More options for evenings out?
I promise that your future self will be very pleased with a little prep now!
(This blog is shorter than usual because I’m in the middle of our fabulous Style Club Experience Week. I didn’t want to skip it and I hope a quick tip is better than nothing!)
International Women’s Day
In acknowledgment of International Women’s Day last week, I’d love to share an article I contributed to about heroines.
You can catch up with the article by clicking here.
Thank you to Lorraine McReight for the invitation to be involved.
