Listen up. Comfies don’t need to be scruffy. If you’ve given up on wearing normal clothes for the foreseeable future, check out these stylish loungewear options as a cosy alternative.
In my world, being comfortable does not mean wearing the old, grey, misshapen and holey joggers you’ve had forever. Leisurewear is a BIG deal these days and we are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding flattering, comfy, cool comfies.
Take a look at this lot.
2. Cropped Sateen Zip Hoodie £69
If black is your comfort zone, try layering something like this over a longer t-shirt. This is great as a piece to zip on and off throughout the day as the temperature fluctuates and could even be worn over your jim-jams if you can’t/refuse to be separated from them. A hoodie also works well under a light jacket in the spring when you leave the house for your once-a-day exercise. I hope you are managing to get out for a walk.
3. Manana Sweatshirt £55
If you are a firm neutrals lover but black feels too….black for this time of year? Then how about this grey and yellow combo? It’s a good length for wearing over leggings if you like to keep your bum covered. Also available in a raspberry and orange colour way.
7. Cotton-Mix Wide-Leg Trousers £55
Want to wear comfies but pretend you are wearing ‘proper’ clothes?
How about these wide leg trousers from Cos? The cut screams stylish trouser but the fabric tells a different story. Wear these with a white t-shirt and trainer and you’ll love them for many summers to come.
Are you going to treat yourself and upgrade your loungewear?
Hi Helen some good ideas but I find a lot of sporty lounge wear is often bland. If you could find any brighter lounge wear would be great. It makes you feel so much better. I know the pink is bright but unfortunately not my colour. Xx
Hi Patricia – have you looked at the rest of the Hush stuff? There are bright blues (see what Pip has shared in the comments) or take a look at Oliver Bonas who have a few brighter bits. It seems that manufactures think we all want soft colours to unwind in! https://www.oliverbonas.com/fashion/category/loungewear

Good morning
Yes I agree with Patricia, loungewear in pastel colours would be wonderful! I like the idea of classic styles in soft fabrics!
Keep well in these difficult times
xx
Thanks Ginney! Check out Fat Face and The White Company for softer coloured loungwear. x
Thanks for sharing Helen. You read my mind, hopefully purchase pink voila top this month.
Hope you are o.k.
I’m good thank you Margaret. Hope you are too in these strange and worrying times. Enjoy your Voila pink top! x
Great post Helen!
I bought this for myself, nice bright colour and very comfortable to wear. Looks good on conference calls too….

Oooh that is gorgeous and I can imagine that blue is very flattering on your spring colouring. Thanks for sharing x
Being totally locked in with immune-deficient husband, I’ve decided that self-discipline is the key to getting through this, so it is getting properly dressed (not in lounge wear), lipstick, earrings and freshly washed hair for me every day. Sorry if that sounds prosey, but it’s what works for me.
Sorry to hear that Diane. It must be tough for you. I love your approach to staying sane. We all have to do what works for us and it sounds like you are doing brilliantly.
Hello Helen. Would love to introduce you to my business Yawn – we specialise in creating relaxed nightwear. I would love to show you what we do as think some of your clients could love it – particularly if they like independent brands, creativity and colour!
Hi Alice, YES please!I’d love to feature more independent brands and lovely nightwear is a particular weakness of mine!
