There’s no doubt this festive season will be different for most of us. I usually have a constant stream of fun, social dates in my diary throughout December, from a civilised carol concert with my mum to my (often messy) university reunion. My wardrobe needs to work hard for me during December. This year will be a much quieter affair, but I’ll still want to look and feel like I’ve made an effort.
Whatever your Christmas looks like, I hope that at least one of these outfit ideas speaks to you. You’ll be pleased to know, I’ve made comfort the front and centre!
WARNING: Many of these items are in the sale and selling out FAST and the prices change every time I check back. Sometimes they are slightly increased and sometimes decreased so please use this as a guide rather than fact!
1. A Sparkly Shoe
Whether you are wearing a simple dress or your favourite black trousers and jumper, nothing says Christmas like a sparkly shoe. And flat is most definitely the order of the day.
This glam pair will liven up any basic outfit.
2. A Fun Christmas Jumper With A Touch Of Animal Print
Who says animal print isn’t festive?
I love this take on a Christmas jumper. The packaging looks fab too so this could be a great gift idea.
3. A Wow Skirt
This metallic skirt looks glam, comfy (wear with flats) and would work whether worn with a black jumper or a strappy cami.
4. A Red Poncho
If you’d like to spend December wrapped in a blanket, get yourself a poncho. This beauty comes in a range of colours but you may as well go red for the festive season!
5. A Zoom Party Top
If your work Christmas party venue is Zoom this year, you might fancy a touch of sparkle. I wish this wasn’t polyester – I’ve searched high and low for something sparkly and sustainable. Please let me know if you find anything!
6. Sumptuous Velvet
If sequins are too much for your style, consider some sumptuous velvet. This would be super comfy and suitably glam for any Christmas event.
7. Glam Pyjamas
If you plan to spend Christmas day in your pyjamas and don’t like the usual cutsie options, you could be in the market for a pair of sophisticated red silk pyjamas. Just make sure you wear a bib when you tuck into your Christmas lunch. Gravy and silk aren’t a good mix. (I’ve noticed that these are on sale one day and full price the next, so keep checking back. I have found this discount code though! Use code LYDIA04 to get 30% off.)
Let me know which of these ideas lights you up!
And whichever you choose, have fun this festive season.
